    Historical notes

The origins of the Castle in Sirignano cannot be documented on the basis of historical sources.
This Castle was probably built in the Norman period and completely abandoned in the middle of the 16th century when the Caracciolo were cited as owners of it.
The present Palace was built by Prince Caravita in 1884 on the ruins of this former castle.
Over the years, the castle soon became a place of cultural interest for important people such as Salvatore di Giacomo, Enrico Caruso and Eduardo Dalbono.
