Historical notes

First official mention of Pietradefusi dates back to 1150.

Over the years, the fief passed from one feudatory to another, among them Giacomo de Tocco, who built a big Tower.

Built on the highest point of the village, the Tower dates back to 1431.

The Tower was used to control the left side of the river Calore and to collect feudal revenues.

The Tower has a quadrangular layout and is about eleven m. high.
